MIDF is structured as a fund with different layers of capital, each with a different risk and return profile to accommodate various investors with varied risk appetite. As such, MIDF is a suitable investment opportunity for international financial institutions, donor agencies and private institutional investors.

The Fund issues three classes of shares with different levels of subordination, risk and return profile, and maturities. A-shares represent the most protected capital layer while C-shares are the most risky share class, bearing the first loss.
