Government of Austria, Federal Ministry of Finance: Due to the tradition of cultural, economic and political relations, Austria has always attached particular importance to the Western Balkans, and this is also reflected in the strong focus of the Federal Ministry of Finance in the context of its External Economic Programme. In supporting the MIDF’s mission, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance provides grant funding for Technical Assistance to MIDF’s beneficiaries and limited grant co-financing for high priority projects in selective cases.

Swiss Confederation, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO): SECO is the Swiss Confederations’ centre of competence for international economic development cooperation. Its aim is to ensure sustainable economic growth, by promoting sound framework conditions and governance principles for economic and trade development in partner countries and by sharing expertise and financing projects. As such, SECO promotes MIDF’s mission to develop stable and efficient financial sectors and enable the provision of reliable and affordable basic infrastructure services. SECO is not only a direct shareholder of MIDF, but also provides grant funding for MIDF’s Technical Assistance and expertise in managing the funds Technical Assistance Facility.
